Once for All: When the Stack of Sin Meets the Cross

By Penny

Listen instead of read

What would your life look like if every sinful choice, hidden wound, selfish motive, broken promise, and painful consequence became a visible block?

One block.

Then another.

Then another.

At first, the burden may seem manageable. But over time, the stack rises, through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, relationships, work, family, and private decisions. Eventually, the weight feels too high to climb and too heavy to carry.

But here is the GOOD NEWS:

NO STACK IS TALLER THAN THE CROSS.

Jesus Christ offered Himself ONCE FOR ALL. His finished work is sufficient for every sin committed in the past, every sin confronted in the present, and every sin that could be committed in the future by those who turn to Him in faith, until the day of redemption.

This is not permission to continue in sin. It is an invitation to leave the stack behind.

The Eight-Panel Story: One Life, One Burden at a Time

The blocks in this visual story are symbolic. They represent sinful choices, wounds, consequences, shame, and the separation sin creates. They do NOT represent a person’s value.

Your identity is not your worst decision.

Your life is not your accumulated failure.

Your future is not imprisoned by your past.

Panels 1–2: The First Burden

Panels 1 and 2 showing the same woman at different life stages as symbolic burdens begin to accumulate

A child walks into a new day. Life is still open before her. Yet one symbolic burden rests nearby.

As she grows older, more blocks begin to appear. Wrong choices, false beliefs, selfish habits, resentment, secrecy, and fear begin stacking beside her.

Sin often begins quietly.

A compromise here.

A lie there.

A decision made outside God’s wisdom.

ONE BLOCK. THEN ANOTHER.

The enemy whispers, “It is not that serious.”

But sin always seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly.

Panels 3–5: When the Weight Becomes a Wall

Panels 3 and 4 showing the same woman surrounded by an immense symbolic wall of accumulated burdens

The stack grows higher. It becomes a wall.

The person can still work, smile, and appear successful. But privately, the burden keeps rising. Shame becomes isolation. Isolation becomes secrecy. Secrecy strengthens the cycle.

Have you ever felt buried beneath years of failure?

Have you wondered whether God sees the real you?

Have you thought, “I have gone too far”?

The Bible’s answer is not denial. Scripture does not pretend sin is harmless. First John 1:7–9 calls us to walk in the light, confess our sins, and receive God’s faithful forgiveness and cleansing.

Confession is not paying for sin a second time.

CONFESSION IS AGREEMENT WITH GOD.

It is bringing the burden into the light because Christ has already made the perfect offering.

Hebrews 10:10 declares that we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:12 adds:

“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.”

He sat down because the work was complete.

John 19:30 records His final declaration:

“It is finished.”

Not “I have started it.”

Not “You must complete the payment.”

IT IS FINISHED!

Panels 6–7: Every Person Has a Story

Panels 5 and 6 showing one enormous burden column becoming a field of people with symbolic burdens of varied heights

Now the view pulls back.

One life becomes many lives.

A woman carries one kind of burden. A man carries another. A family hides pain behind a beautiful home. A successful professional carries private regret. A young person struggles with choices no one else knows about.

Some stacks are tall.

Some are short.

Some appear small but feel unbearable to the person carrying them.

From the ground, we compare burdens. We decide who looks worse. We assume who is acceptable. But God sees every heart with perfect clarity.

The whole world becomes a field of columns reaching toward the heavens.

Yet the cross is still greater.

Hebrews 9:26–28 teaches that Christ appeared once to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. First Peter 3:18 says that Christ suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God.

That is the purpose of the cross:

NOT MERELY TO REMOVE A RECORD. TO BRING YOU HOME.

Panel 8: The Cross Breaks the Columns

Panels 7 and 8 showing the world covered by cleansing light as Jesus breaks the symbolic burden columns through the cross

The cross appears, not as a decoration, but as the decisive act of God’s mercy.

The burden columns break.

The blocks shatter.

The fragments dissolve into light.

The cleansing blood of Christ is portrayed as a reverent crimson-gold stream flowing outward over the earth and into the universe. This is not graphic imagery. It is a visual reminder that the sacrifice of Jesus is powerful, pure, and sufficient.

NO PERSON IS BEYOND THE REACH OF GRACE.

Romans 6:10 says that the death Christ died, He died to sin once; the life He lives, He lives to God.

Romans 8:1 announces:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”

Notice the words: IN CHRIST JESUS.

“Once for all” does not mean that everyone is automatically saved regardless of faith, repentance, or response. It means Christ’s sacrifice never needs to be repeated. It is sufficient. It is final. It is complete.

The cross is not a license to embrace sin.

The cross is the power to leave sin.

Once for All Does Not Mean Once Without Transformation

Grace does not say, “Stay buried.”

Grace says, “Rise.”

Because Jesus died and rose again, believers are called into newness of life. We do not minister from condemnation. We minister from the finished work of Christ.

We are accepted sons and daughters before we perform.

We are not earning a seat near God. Through Jesus, the Gate and the Way, we are welcomed into relationship with the Father. Jesus is at the Father’s right hand, and believers are seated with Christ in heavenly places, learning to function as the PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS.

All ministry flows from HSMS, Loving God Back.

First comes Sonship.

Then comes service.

First comes relationship.

Then comes the King-Priest-Prophet-Apostle assignment.

Your Five-Part Response

Do not merely admire the picture. Respond to the finished work.

  1. NAME THE BURDEN.
What block have you been carrying? Be specific.

  2. CONFESS AND TURN.
Agree with God. Repent. Do not defend what Jesus is calling you to surrender.

  3. RECEIVE FORGIVENESS.
Trust the promise of First John 1:9. Forgiveness is received because Christ is faithful, not because you have performed perfectly.

  4. MAKE RESTITUTION WHERE APPROPRIATE.
Grace does not erase responsibility. Where harm has been done, seek wisdom, accountability, reconciliation, and restoration when possible and safe.

  5. WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.
Build new habits. Seek godly community. Renew your mind. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.

SEE ONE. DO ONE. TEACH ONE.

SEE the burden.

DO the obedient next step.

TEACH your family how to build a life of wisdom, stewardship, and peace. Even practical tools such as Quivergy Personal can help households model planning and build stronger walls for the future.

A Word of Hope for the Person Who Feels Buried

If sin has made a mess of your life, do not confuse conviction with rejection. The Holy Spirit brings loving conviction so that you can return to God. Shame says, “Hide.” Grace says, “Come into the light.”

May this be our prayer:

May the Lord restore the years the locust have stolen. May everyone that's stolen from you pay back 7 times what was stolen, even right now,

We present this as prayer and biblical hope, not as a guaranteed financial promise or automatic outcome. God’s restoration may involve forgiveness, healing, wisdom, accountability, reconciliation, changed desires, practical provision, and a new direction.

The years matter.

The damage matters.

But the cross is greater.

The Decision Before You

Lukewarmness is not neutral. It is a bullet train to hell. Jesus calls you to a clear response, not because He wants to condemn you, but because indecision keeps you from receiving the life He freely offers.

“Would you like to ask Jesus into your heart right now? Yes? Or no?”

If your answer is yes, you can pray:

Standard Prayer of Salvation

Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I confess that [their name] has sinned and needs a Savior. I believe Jesus is Your Son, that He died for [his/her] sins, was buried, and rose again. I repent of my sins and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. I receive Your forgiveness and salvation by faith. Thank You that [their name] is now Your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

At the exact moment a person is saved, that believer is baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit begins the work of leading, cleansing, empowering, and transforming the new believer.

A Prophetic Reminder of Sonship

My Son, My Daughter,
You are Accepted, not rejected.
You are good enough, and I Love you.
I am proud of you, and you do it right.
I'm dancing over you day and night!

-Father God (YHVH)

From Forgiveness to Purpose

Melchizedek Ministries exists to:

  1. Validate identity: how God saw you before the womb.
  2. Give permission and encouragement to move into ministry.

The implementation is simple:

Step 1: Receive a Birth Sky Message through Christological Astronomy, using the Maji methodology, to help identify the “Promised One” in your own life.

Step 2: Ramp up ministry: FOUND, FUNDED with endowments, STAFFED with volunteers, SUPPORTED by intercessors, THRIVE, CALL OTHERS UP, and FUNCTION IN THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK.

Habakkuk 2:2 gives the scriptural pattern: write the vision and make it plain.

The cross is higher than your shame.

The blood of Christ is stronger than your record.

The empty tomb is greater than your failure.
